Helping Children feel better,
Learn better & Thrive

BrainRx is a personalised, one-to-one cognitive training programme designed to strengthen seven key cognitive skills that support learning and everyday thinking.

The Gibson Test helps identify individual strengths and areas that may need support, including attention, memory, processing speed, auditory and visual processing, and logic & reasoning.

Based on these results, BrainRx uses engaging, game-like exercises to target specific cognitive skills and keep children actively involved throughout their training.

BrainRx can support children and adults who experience learning challenges, as well as those who simply want to strengthen their cognitive skills and reach their potential.

Supporting parents, professionals and educators to understand not just what a child is struggling with — but why.

We provide targeted cognitive training designed to strengthen the core mental processes essential for efficient learning.

Backed by decades of research and used by more than 100,000 people worldwide, BrainRx is designed to strengthen the cognitive skills involved in learning, thinking and everyday performance.

Train the Skills Behind Learning
Every child and adult has their own unique strengths and challenges. Sometimes learning feels difficult not because someone isn’t trying hard enough, but because the cognitive skills behind learning need strengthening.
BrainRx is a personalised, one-to-one cognitive training programme designed to strengthen the skills we rely on every day to focus, remember, process information, reason, solve problems and learn effectively.

Training is engaging, structured and tailored to each individual. The programme is developed around their cognitive assessment results, allowing us to identify both their strengths and the specific skills that may be holding them back.

Rather than simply practising schoolwork, BrainRx works on the underlying cognitive skills that make learning possible — helping build a stronger foundation for learning, greater independence and confidence.
How It Works
  • Book a Gibson Cognitive Assessment
The journey begins with a comprehensive Gibson Test of Cognitive Skills. This assessment helps identify cognitive strengths and areas that may need support, providing a clear picture of how the brain learns and processes information.
  • Review Your Results
Once the assessment is complete, we will meet to discuss the results in detail. Together, we'll explore your child's cognitive profile, answer any questions you may have, and identify the skills that may be impacting learning and everyday life.
  • Create a Personalised Plan
Based on the assessment results, I will recommend a personalized BrainRx training programme tailored to your child's unique needs and goals.
  • Begin One-to-One Training
Training sessions are delivered individually with a dedicated trainer using engaging, challenging, and enjoyable exercises designed to strengthen the cognitive skills that support learning, attention, memory, processing, and reasoning.
  • Measure Progress
Throughout the programme, progress is monitored, and at the end of training, a reassessment allows us to see the improvements made and celebrate the journey together.
Assessment, Results Review & Consultation
The first step is understanding how the brain learns. From there, we can build the right support for lasting change.

We start by understanding each person's unique cognitive strengths and challenges, then tailor one-to-one training to the skills that need strengthening

🎯 Attention
The ability to stay focused on what matters while filtering out distractions.
Strong attention helps us listen, follow instructions, stay on task and complete work without constantly losing focus.
🧠 Working Memory
Our brain’s temporary workspace — the ability to hold information in mind while using it.
We use working memory when following multi-step instructions, doing mental maths, understanding what we read or remembering what we were about to do.
💭 Long-Term Memory
The ability to store information and retrieve it when we need it.
Long-term memory supports learning across all areas — from remembering vocabulary and facts to recalling previously learned information and building new knowledge on top of it.
⚡ Processing Speed
How efficiently the brain takes in information, makes sense of it and responds.
When processing speed is strong, everyday learning tasks can feel more manageable. When it is weaker, a child may understand the material but need considerably more time to process instructions, answer questions or complete work.
👀 Visual Processing
The ability to understand, interpret and make sense of what we see.
It supports skills such as recognising patterns, understanding spatial relationships, remembering visual information, reading maps and diagrams, and organising information on a page.
👂 Auditory Processing
The ability to accurately analyse and make sense of information we hear.
It plays an important role in listening, distinguishing sounds, following spoken information and developing strong reading and spelling skills.
🧩 Logic & Reasoning
The ability to think through information, recognise patterns, make connections and solve unfamiliar problems.
Strong reasoning helps us work out what to do when the answer isn’t immediately obvious — an important skill for problem-solving, maths, comprehension and everyday decision-making.
Who Can Benefit from BrainRx?

  • Need more time to process information
  • Find it difficult to follow multi-step directions

Hi, I'm Vaiva
Child Psychotherapist • Play Therapist • BrainRx Practitioner
For more than 16 years, I’ve worked alongside children and families, helping them understand behaviour, emotions and the needs underneath them.

But my journey into cognitive training began somewhere much more personal — at home, as a mum.

My son is neurodivergent, and for years I watched him work incredibly hard while reading, attention, processing information and learning remained difficult. School became overwhelming, his confidence was affected, and like so many parents, I kept searching for answers.
Then I discovered the Gibson Test.

For the first time, I wasn’t just looking at what he was struggling with. I could see why learning was so difficult for him— which cognitive skills were strong and which needed support.

That understanding led us to BrainRx. And what I began to see went far beyond learning. As his cognitive skills strengthened, I saw changes in his attention, memory, processing, communication and confidence — but also in everyday life. More independence. More conversations. More willingness to try. More belief in himself.

That experience brought together two parts of my world: my professional understanding of children and my lived experience as a parent.

Today, when I sit with a parent who tells me, “I know my child is capable, but something just isn’t clicking,” I understand that feeling from both sides.

My work is about helping families move away from guessing and towards understanding — because when we understand what is happening underneath the struggle, we can make much more informed decisions about the support a child needs.

Sometimes understanding the “why” is where everything begins.
